Since many hundred years ago, the butterfly fairies must hide at night and live in fear, because the monsters named Skeezites. Skeezites, which eat fairies, are following. But one day, Queen Marabella, lights Futterfield forever with all her powers and magic. Henna is the Queen’s assistant. She hates the Queen and feels a great jealousy. So she makes a plan that allows her to remove the queen from the command and become in the person who controls the kingdom. So, Henna slowly poisons to Queen Marabella.

Mariposa, a brave and good fairy who lives in Futterfield. Mariposa is agreed by the prince as the one to find the antidote that allows Queen Marabella to live. So along with her friends, starts a journey in search of the cure for the queen who gets weaker every day.
Mariposa should follow the instructions of a map that has been provided to her. Mariposa try to reach the site where the antidote is but they will have to go through huge difficulties, solving riddles and battling fearsome monsters that will not allow them to have a quiet journey.

The mermaids tell Mariposa where to find the Cave of Reflections. Mariposa and her friends fly off towards it eagerly. The fairies manage to scheme the monsters and they all fly into the cave. There, they find their own reflections talking back to themselves, and meet the Fairy of the Cave. She leads the group to different sections, where she declares each time "one of you must stay behind".
Mariposa was left as the last one. The fairy guides her toward a place filled with stars. The fairy tells her that one star holds the antidote she needs. In the end, Mariposa selects the correct star. They come back just in time when the Skeezites start attacking everyone at the Royal fairy castle. Mariposa presents the antidote to the queen. Queen Marabella presents each of them with a crown of flowers. Henna manages to get away with the Skeezites, fleeing from the light. After the big rescue of the queen, Mariposa felt she belonged again.
